We’re Here to Support You — Every Step of the Way
Whether you have questions about your plan, need independent support,
or just want clarity — this page is for you.
Your Account with Cura
Q1: Why has my debt been passed to Cura?
Your original creditor sold your account to Cura Care Online, which now holds the legal right to manage the outstanding balance.
You should have received confirmation from our servicing partner, Evolve Servicing Limited, explaining the change. Your repayment plan remains intact.
Q2: Who is Evolve Servicing Limited?
Evolve is Cura’s exclusive service provider. With over 20 years of experience in insolvency servicing, they manage day-to-day communication and payments for Cura customers.
Payments & Repayment Plans
Q3: Will Cura add interest or fees?
No. We do not add any charges or interest if you stay on your pre-agreed repayment plan.
If legal action becomes necessary (for example, if the plan fails), additional costs may be incurred — but we always aim to avoid this.
Q4: How do I make a payment?
All payments are handled securely by Evolve Servicing. Please email:

Q5: I’ve been contacted by a debt collection agency — what now?
If you've heard from a DCA, it usually means your IVA or DMP has failed or been terminated. You’ll now need to arrange a new, affordable plan directly with the agency. If you’re unsure, contact us.
Plan Changes & Settlement
Q6: What if I can’t afford my payments anymore?
Don’t panic — we understand that circumstances change. Contact our Customer Care team as soon as possible and we’ll work with your solution provider to explore your options.
Q7: Can I get a discount if I pay the full amount?
Yes. If you’re in a debt management plan, Cura can help arrange a discounted lump-sum settlement with your provider. Just get in touch to discuss.
Credit Reports & Data
Q8: How does repayment affect my credit file?
We report to all three major UK credit reference agencies: Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
When you repay your debt in full, the default is marked as “satisfied” — which reflects positively on your file. However, defaults stay on your credit report for 6 years from the original date.
Q9: Who do Cura share my information with?
Only with trusted, FCA-regulated partners involved in your plan — such as Evolve Servicing and relevant credit reference agencies. Full details can be found in our Privacy Policy.
Disputes & Complaints
Q10: What if I don’t recognise this debt or think there’s a mistake?
Please contact us via the Contact Form and share any documents or details. We’ll investigate the issue and get back to you.
Q11: How do I make a complaint?
Visit our Complaints Page for full information, including contact details and how to escalate a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman.
